A medieval annular brooch, with the pin intact. The frame of the brooch is plain and without decoration. The pin tapers to a point, which rests on the frame. The other end of the pin encircles the frame and has a collar. This lies flush against the attachment loop and is decorated with punched circles.
The brooch is silver and dates from the thirteenth century.
Dimensions: diameter of frame 21 mm, height of frame 2 mm, length of pin 22 mm.

A medieval/post-medieval sword/dagger chape. The object is complete i.e. it features a decorated front section and a thin copper alloy 'sheet' back plate (although the back plate is slightly damaged in the upper left section). The bottom of the object is round with a shell like appearance: suggestive of a scallop. The bottom features 12 incised lines radiating out from three holes (or trefoil). An incomplete copper-alloy buckle or clasp fastener of medieval date, c.1300-1450 (Whitehead 1991, 27/41).
Description: The buckle/fastener remains as a square bucklesque frame with narrowed and offset 'strap' bars.. The closure plate is missing and is therefore uncertain if it folding clasp or strap with seperate spindle. The buckle is mottled dark grey green and the plate a lighter green.
Measurements:Total 19.91mm long, 13.15mm wide, 6.52mm thick and 2.77g in weight.

A Medeival gold stirrup-shaped finger-ring of 1250-1400 AD date. The ring has a slender hoop (1.0mm wide) rising to a pointed bezel with an inset grren stone of oval shape, probably of semi-precious material. The ring has been slightly distorted, and abraded at the bezel in particular.
The ring is similar to examples in Egan and Pritchard (1991, 326; refs. 1608, 1609) and many reported under the Treasure Act; e.g. 2007 T270 and 2009 T592
