Cast copper alloy heraldic harness pendant, shield-shaped in plan, with a rectangular suspension mount that still retains its two rivets. The face of the shield has a pattern of four alternating pronounced and recessed horizontal waves with bulbous projections or 'nebuly' (from the Latin nebula or cloud) defined by four incised lines running horizontally across the shield. A post-Medieval (probably 17th century) copper-alloy mount. The central portion of the plate-like mount is trapezoidal. At the top is a pointed-oval projection with a protruding collar at its base; at the bottom of the mount, there is an oval projection. There are two integral rivets on the reverse of the mount, both of which have been deliberately bent vertically outwards. Only the upper rivet survives intact. Much of the original white-metal coating remains on both the convex upper surface and flat underside of the mount. Dimensions: 28.9mm long, 8mm wide, 2.3mm thick. Weight: 3.1g.

The cockerel is bent over at an angle of about 90° from the base. One side of the cockerel is moulded and has a prominent comb, beak and eye with linear lines representing a wing or feathers. A fragment of a Medieval cast-copper-alloy posnet handle (c. 1250-c. 1400 AD). This fragment is largely flat on the top and convex on the underside, roughly 'D'-shaped in cross-section. Moulded decoration on the top consists of four oblique grooves within two parallel grooves, one at either side. A stub on the underside is the remains of a curved reinforcing brace that joined the body of the vessel. A copper-alloy plate brooch of Roman date. This piece is a good example of the horse-and-rider type brooch. It takes the form of a two dimensional representation of a horse advancing right, a male rider seated upon its back. Both horse and rider are heavily stylised. At the front of the horse, the body, neck and head form an 'S-shaped' curve. A prominent, crest-like mane, obliquely grooved, extends outwards from the rear of the neck.
