A cast copper-alloy strap junction of medieval date. The central element is quadrilobate, formed of a ring with a rounded lobe at each cardinal point. Between each lobe an attachment loop would have looped round the ring, three attachment loops now survive. Each lobe has a groove coming in from each side towards its base. This, in conjunction with grooves that radiate out from the centre of the base give a scallop shell effect. The lower surface of the ring is flat and plain. A worn and very corroded 14th-century copper-alloy medieval English jetton of the Star and Crescent type (c. 1344 - c. 1355 AD; Berry obverse type 3; cf. Mitchiner 247).
The jetton is abraded all around its circumference. It has a central perforation.
