A complete Post-Medieval tombac (zinc and copper alloy) button that is probably 17th Century in date (about 1600-1700). The button has a raised centre and is surrounded by two raised circles. The back of the button head is flat; attached is a sub-square suspension loop with an off set perforation. The button has a medium green patina. A cast copper alloy Post Medieval mount. The object is in the shape of an acorn, with a length of stem projecting to the side of the acorn cup. The upper half of the mount represents the acorn and is separated from the lower half by two horizontal, parallel incised lines. The lower half of the body represents the acorn cup. There are two integral rivets on the reverse, one broken and one bent. This object was probably for mounting onto a strap, either a personal belt or a harness strap. Compare YORYM-258015.

An incomplete cast copper alloy Medieval buckle frame dating from about 1100 - 1300. The lipped single oval frame is a D-shaped in plan but the bar is not narrowed nor offset. There is a pin notch on the lip of the frame and a ridge on the bar where the pin would have been attached. It and the plate are now missing. The back of the frame is concave, and the outer edge is angled. The buckle frame has a dark brown patina. Length: 18.1mm; Width: 21.8mm; Thickness: 3.7mm; Weight: 2.27g

An complete cast copper alloy Post-Medieval buckle frame dating from about 1500-1650. The double loop oval frame has moulded knops at either end of a slightly recessed strap bar. The frame has been bent; the attached pin moves freely along the pin bar but has been worn to a point, no longer able to rest securely against the frame. An incomplete strap fitting of the 'ball ended' type of late early-medieval to medieval date (c. 11th century). The plate is of openwork form, with two circular apertures between three rounded lobes at one end, and a rounded T-shaped hole at the other. The complete end of the item is formed by a horizontal bar with three equally-spaced three dimensional lobes along its length, the central lobe being slightly larger than the two at the corners. A cast copper alloy unidentified object of probable Post Medieval date, with a thick shaft, and a hooked anchor-shaped zoomorphic terminal. The zoomorphic element appears to be of two bird, serpent or animal heads with a crest or mane on the back of the neck. An openwork triangle separates the two zoomorphic ends, formed from a rectangular sections bar joining the apes of the two beasts' necks. A cast copper alloy Roman knee brooch dating from 150 - 250 AD. The brooch has a convex bow, wide at the top and tapering to the foot which is a half round disc which juts forwards. Part of the catchplate survives behind. The head is tubular wings holding a copper alloy axis bar and with a slot for the missing pin. Above is an integral head loop. The reverse of the bow is hollow. Compare 1242 and 478 on page 335 of Hattatt.

A cast copper alloy toggle of late Iron Age or Early Roman date. It is a cylindrical bar decorated with 11 grooves running round the bar. There is a hollow in each end of the bar. From the centre of one side projects a broken loop, with one of the grooves dividing the loop into two halves as well. The breaks are worn and patinated. The toggle has a grey green patina. Compare LON-1A6571, CAM-DEB4B0, DENO-FE3BA7 and GLO-1B1400. HAMP-2931B4 and SWYOR-7D71D7 may also be related.

An incomplete Medieval cast copper alloy bar mount. It has a central lobe, with a hole, and two tapering bars of which only one survives. It has a terminal lobe which is pierced by a copper alloy rivet. The mount is mostly semi-circular in section, with a flat back; but the bars is faceted making it triangular in section. A cast copper alloy medieval casket key dating from the 12th to late 14th century AD (Egan et al 1998:111-112). The key has a circular bow, and a shank that is sub-rectangular in plan and circular in section, with a bulbous collar before the bow. The bit is a rectangular tab with a wide cleft in the leading edge. The shank is hollow (although now filled with mud). Similar examples can be seen in Egan et al 1998.

A complete cast copper alloy harness pendant of medieval date. The pendant is quatrefoil in plan and is decorated with a worn heraldic devise and coloured enamel. The devise is of a central lion statant within a square of red enamel framed within an irregular pattern of blue enamel. A cast, copper alloy sword belt fitting dating from the post-medieval period, AD1500-1700. It consists of a flat body decorated with a floral and foliage pattern. It has a small knop at one end, and expanded into a fleur-de-lis terminal at the other. The wide end is damaged and may have extended into a loop or hook fitting. There is some ferrous corrosion in the centre of the wide end which might be the remains of a rivet. There are a number of similar belt fitting on the database; for example HESH-51ADE4 and SWYOR-B7BD55.

A copper alloy seal matrix of Post Medieval date. The matrix itself has a rectangular face with rounded corners. From each corner and side of the matrix the sides taper up to form a stem with a central collar. A smaller second collar above that leads to an integral circular suspension loop. The suspension loop terminates a small knop on the top. The hole in the suspension loop is aligned parallel with the longest axis of the rectangular matrix and is filled with iron corrosion from a means of attachment. The matrix face is too corroded to be able to make out the design. Compare SUSS-E502E0.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy socketed axehead of Bronze Age date. The fragment is the blade end including the base of the socketed area. It is rectangular in plan and V-shaped in section with a worn cutting edge and rounded corners. The breaks at the socketed end appear to be mostly old though there are also some signs of more recent damage. The metal has a mid blackish-green patina and is very worn. The fragment is 42.3mm long, 28.1mm wide, 11.6mm thick and weighs 36g.

An incomplete cast copper alloy socketed spearhead fragment probably dating from the Middle Bronze Age, about 1550 - 1250 BC. The spearhead has a prominent central midrib which is lozenge shaped in section with a sub circular opening.
