A complete cast copper-alloy cosmetic pestle of probable Romano-British date. It is curved in form, oval shaped in section expanding towards a rounded tip. At the opposite end is an integrally cast circular loop with grooved collar and central circular aperture. There appears to be no evidence for decoration and the entire object has a mid green patina. It measures 50.65mm in length, 6.50mm in width, 6.19mm in thickness (10.75mm in thickness/height at suspension loop) and 8.90g in weight.
