Record ID: SWYOR-509C04
Object type: HARNESS MOUNT
Broad period: POST MEDIEVAL
County: Kirklees
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
An incomplete cast lead alloy harness mount dating from about the late Post-Medieval to early Modern periods (1750-1900). The mount is a circular disc of lead alloy which is probably part of a Post-Medieval bridle boss. The edges have broken and crumbled; the body has been slightly bent out of shape. Record ID: SWYOR-549FC3
Object type: TOKEN
Broad period: POST MEDIEVAL
County: North Yorkshire
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
A lead alloy uniface token of probably Medieval or Post Medieval date. The design is a geometric pattern (Powell type 9) of lines formed of conjoined solid triangles. There are two lines across the base, with three lines radiating from the centre of the upper line. There are also initials (Powell type 2): a letter S on the left and a B with a gap between the two loops on the right. The letters are untidy. Compare to SWYOR-54B783 which may be a crude copy of this token. It was found in the same field.
