A complete and slightly damaged post-Medieval cast copper-alloy spherical animal 'crotal' bell (1600-1800 AD).
The sub-rectangular suspension loop at the top is 9.07mm high, 12.56mm wide and 6.09.mm thick and has a sub-circular perforation. The upper and lower hemispheres are divided equally by a horizontal circumferential joining rib. At either side of the suspension loop, about half way down the side of the upper hemisphere, is a sound hole. One of the holes is circular and the other is sub-circular.
