Iron Age copper alloy openwork strap fitting. It is oval in plan with openwork motifs formed of a central small pelta with a smaller inverted pelta below and a larger pelta to either side. There is a small oval opening located towards one of the longer edges; this opening has a U-shaped projection on both faces, with the open side of the projections on the outer edge of the fitting. These two U-shaped projections are H-shaped in section, with the middle bar of the H' formed from the main body of the fitting, and are presumably reinforced to accomodate a narrow leather strap.
