A complete late Mesolithic flint microlith (6300-4300 BC). Small triangular microlith, pointed at distal end and inclined toward the right hand side and blunted at proximal end, with an abrupt triangular notch in the right margin. Ventral surface is smooth and the margin has fine retouch predominantly to the distal and left edges. The Dorsal surface is composed to four negative scars with three arrises and a cream inclusion on the proximal end. The colour is light grey with one cream inclusion (ventral and dorsal) and some lighter grey fleck's along the central aspect. Date is late Me…

Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
A complete ovate flint blade core of late Mesolithic date (6300-4300 BC), quite heavily worked with clear negatives of microlith extraction from the ventral and dorsal surfaces, possibly a core tablet. Ventral surface shows one large negative to the proximal end and multiple smaller negatives around the outer ventral surface all of which contain some cracking ripples. The dorsal surface still maintains some lighter cortex and demonstrates heavy longer bladelet shape negatives to the right hand side, while the left side shows extensive working of far smaller microliths. All negatives o…

A complete flint leaf shaped lithic of probable Neolithic date (3500-2100 BC), possibly a waste flake with some indication of retouching to the lateral margins. There are four main negative scars on the dorsal surface which create a raised triangular plan toward the proximal end, each of which contain cracking ripples, the distal end terminates in a point. One area of demonstrable cracking ripples are present on the ventral surface from one negative scar, the ventral surface however is predominantly smooth and without large negative scars. The lithic is light brown with cream inclus…
