An Iron Age "barley-boar" Iceni silver half-unit. The obverse shows a small boar-standard facing right, bent spear emanating from shoulder, ear of barley or palm branch above and behind. The reverse is a horse facing right with corkscrew tail, ear of barley or palm branch above. The coin is described in Rudd; Ancient British Coins (2010); p85; No.1597. There is no concordance with Van Arsdell, British Museum Catalogue or Spink, and the ABC designates the coin as Excessively Rare.
