Description by Nicholas Thomas: All the margins have use wear. There are no scars on the ventral face. The flint is mottled grey- cream in colour. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble but this is unclear with only tertiary cortex. MERCER (1981) illustrates a similar piece on Page 143 Fig 63 No 205, which he calls a serrated flake and dates to the Neolithic period.

Description by Nicholas Thomas: This is a rough flake with a notch. The right dorsal margin has a retouched notch towards the distal end, worked from both faces. The ventral face has a bulb but no scars. There is cortex on the base The flint is dark brown and cream in colour. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble but this is unclear with only tertiary cortex. Butler (2005) illustrates a similar piece on Page 131 Fig 55 No 5, which he calls a notched flake and dates to the late Neolithic to early Bronze Age period.
