Pottery body sherd with two grooves in a sideways 'V' shape, one running horizontally across the width of the sherd and the other at an oblique angle to it, running to the upper edge of the sherd. The sherd is made of gabbroic clay that weathers over the gabbro outcrop on the Lizard in Cornwall. The fabric has inclusions of pale felspars, dark augite and mica and is orangey-brown on the exterior and mid-brown on the interior of the sherd with an orange core. Pottery body sherd made of reduced granitic fabric. The fabric has inclusions of granite and mica and is mid to dark brown on the exterior and on the interior of the sherd, with a black residue. This granitic fabric is seen in comparable local Grooved Ware vessels, dating from c.2900-2400 BC, but it may not be Grooved Ware in this case (Henrietta Quinnell, forthcoming).

An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1550-c. 1650 AD).
This buckle frame is convex at the front and flat at the rear. The loops are similar in size and shape. Each outside edge has two raised knobs forming pin rests. There is a small knop at each end of the slightly narrowed bar. Iron staining on the bar probably indicates that the missing pin was made of iron.
Green patina with some small areas of corrosion.
20.66 x 16.15 x 2.11mm. Weight: 1.98g.
A similar buckle has been published and dated c. 1550-1650 (Whitehead 1996: 61, ref: 360).

The tapering handle is circular in cross-section and the top is missing. The die is octagonal in plan. Viewing an impression, it has a standing winged figure of Cupid facing left holding a bow and arrow, all within a beaded border.

A complete Late Medieval cast copper-alloy pedestal/pendant seal matrix (c. 1400-c. 1500 AD).
This seal matrix has a handle, hexagonal in cross-section. It tapers upwards to a suspension loop that is lozenge-shaped with a circular perforation with a maximum diameter of 3.62mm. The circular die has an incised Lombardic letter T surmounted by a crown with a straight band. There is a palm branch each side of the letter.
It has a mid-green patina with some corroded areas.
Height: 22.89mm; diameter of die: 12.21mm. Weight: 4.84g.
