Pottery body sherd made of gabbroic clay that weathers over the gabbro outcrop on the Lizard in Cornwall. The exterior of the sherd has three parallel grooves above an impression which may be another groove that has been widened by damage. The fabric has inclusions of pale felspars and dark augite and is orangey-brown on the interior and dark brown on the exterior of the sherd. This type of decoration is seen on Grooved Ware vessels, dating from c.2900-2400 BC (Henrietta Quinnell, forthcoming). Pottery body sherd made of smooth grogged (containing crushed clay) Grooved Ware fabric. The fabric looks polished and baked and it is hard to see any inclusions. It appears to be blackened on the interior of the sherd and a buff colour on the exterior. There are also depressions on the exterior of the sherd which may have resulted from the erosion of inclusions out of the matrix. This type of fabric is most probably Grooved Ware, dating from c.2900-2400 BC (Henrietta Quinnell, forthcoming).

Flint flake, narrow oblong in plan and lozenge shaped in profile. The dorsal side has a convex surface with a curved mesial ridge. The distal end is one large low-angled flake removal with a hook-notch near the left end. The proximal edge also has a fractured protuberance. The central section of the left margin is retouched and there is also retouch scarring on the right margin.
