A copper-alloy Roman radiate of Carus (AD 282-283), dating to the period c.AD 282-283 (Reece period 14). SPES PVBLICA reverse type depicting Spes walking left, holding flower and raising skirt. Mint of Ticinum. As RIC V.2, p. 144, no. 82; Gloucester , p. 91, no. 1651. Measures 22-23mm, some wear.

AE barbarous Roman radiate, AD 275-85. Reverse is an imitation of the PAX Aug type of Tetricus. Pax standing with transverse sceptre. The coin may have been struck twice with the current designs appearing to overlie another design. It wouold appear likely that the coin has been struck, reversed and then struck again. Diameter 16.0mm, Thickness 1.5mm, 1.39g.
