A copper alloy Medieval composite strap end. It consists of three pieces, the front and back plates, with a sheet spacer occupying the full width, set between them. The strap end is rectangular, and is shaped at its lower terminal, cut away to form a neck and then flaring slightly to form an angled knop. There is a single rivet at the centre of the upper terminal, holding the plates together. The object has been damaged in antiquity, and has been struck and bent transversely. A copper alloy medieval strap end of slightly tapering strip form, ending in a short pointed terminal. The strap end is of composite construction with a wedge-profile central plate which extends just over half the lengths of the two outer plates. There are two rivets. One side is plain but the other is extensively stamped with a strip of raised cinquefoils each in a quatrefoil frame.

An incomplete Early Medieval silver strap-end of Thomas (2003) Class A type 1 (Trewhiddle style). The strap end has a deeply split end shaped at the top around two circular rivet holes, with a small third lobe between; the third lobe has three engraved lines forming a small rectangle below. Below and between the rivet holes is an engraved 'fan-shaped' or 'trilobate' motif, which consists actually of four leaves forming a pelta shape; the outer leaves each have a double nick.
