A cast copper-alloy buckle frame fragment. Decoration consists of two cast parallel lines running the full length of the bar with multiple incised oblique grooves on the outer edge. there is also a centrally placed pin groove. Whitehead has this type of decoration on this type of buckle as late 15th to 16th century.

Flint scraper, round in plan and lozenge shaped in profile. It appears to be a horseshoe thumbnail scraper unifacially retouched except for the proximal end which is cortex. The flint is grey with beige inclusions in colour and has a secondary cortex of dark cream. Mercer (1981) illustrates a similar example on page 134, Fig. 59, No. L.138 which is dated to the Bronze Age.

Flint blade, oblong in plan and lozenge shaped in profile. On the dorsal side the left margin has a jagged notched denticulated edge. The right margin is possibly a cutting edge. The distal and proximal ends have been snapped. On the ventral side the left margin is finely notched as is also the right margin. It is cream toned with iron stains in colour. Butler (2005) illustrates a similar example on page 131, Fig. 55, No. 4 which is dated to the Neolithic period.

On the ventral side there is a small area of retouch on the upper left margin. It is white toned with brown discolouration and appears to be burnt. Butler (2005) illustrates a similar example on page 101, Fig. 39, No. 9 which is dated to the Mesolithic period.

A threepence of Elizabeth I. The mint mark is a Pheon dating the coin 1561 - 1565. The coin is very worn and heavily abraded. Nothing is clear on the obverse. On the reverse the shield and cross is partly visible, along with fragments of the legend, including the mint mark. Weight 1.0g. Diameter 18.7mm.

It is dark grey in colour with a large pale to mid grey brown section in the middle and a dark beige toned secondary cortex. bond (2004) illustrates a similar example on page 139, Fig. 5.126, No. 12 which is dated to the Neolithic period.

Flint pebble core, round in plan and triangular in profile. It has a single platform and appears to have been worked half way around. Long flakes have been removed from the sides and also centrally from the actual platform. The distal tip may have had some retouching enabling possible use as a scraper. It is dark grey with light speckles in colour with a dark beige secondary cortex. Bond (2004) illustrates a similar example on page 110, Fig. 5.94, No. L.4 which is dated to the Neolithic period.

A fragment of a Medieval to post-Medieval cast copper-alloy purse frame (c. 1450-c. 1525 AD). This small portion of frame is 'V'-shaped in cross-section and slightly curved in profile. The outer face is decorated with double cross-hatched grooves. There may have been niello within the grooves. However, none is present. A Post medieval cast copper alloy double loop asymmetrical buckle frame. The frame has one oval and one rectangular loop. The inner side of the outer edge of the oval loop is widened creating a pin rest. The strap bar is narrowed and recessed from the front of the frame. A very similar frame can be seen in Whitehead (2003:91 No.569) which he dates to c.1575-1700. The frame is 37.28mm long, 26.92mm wide, 2.01mm thick and weighs 3.5 grams.

Considerable amount of cortex remaining on dorsal side. No signs of break, abrasion or burning. The flint is of a mid grey colour and was likely derived from a local beach pebble. Bond [2004] illustrates a similar example on page 132, Fig 5.118, No F.7 which is dated to the Neolithic.
