A misshapen post-Medieval cast copper-alloy toilet article (c. 1500-c. 1800 AD). This artefact is possibly an ears scoop or a cosmetic spoon. It has a shank, circular in cross-section, which has a diameter of 3.4mm. At one end of the shank an off-set bowl is 8.0mm in length, 5.2mm in width and has a thickness of 2.7mm. At the opposite end there is an off-set and flattened bifid nail cleaner. It has a length of 7.7mm and a thickness of 1.6mm. In plan, it flares from the shank towards the end. It is possible that this end is a broken loop rather than a nail cleaner. On the underside o…

A fragment of a copper-ally socketed axe of Late Bronze Age date. The piece represents the bottom part of the axe. There is a slight increase in width towards the blade, but the axehead is of slender appearance. The hollow interior extends to approximately 10mm above the blade.
