A worn silver short cross cut-half, probably of John (AD 1199-1216), possibly Class 5c (AD 1207-1210). On the reverse only a small portion of the moneyers name remains (?V)N, although the mint town is Canterbury. The only moneyer striking under John in Canterbury with a name ending in the letter N is Iohan, should the suggestion that this is a Class 5c coin be correct.
