A cast copper-alloy single looped buckle frame of Medieval date. It is as Meols type 8 with oval shaped frame that has an offset and narrowed rectangular bar. The expanded outer edge has four oval shaped lobes each separated by incised grooves and D-shaped in section. The central two lobes each have three opposing incised diagonal grooves positioned either side of the central groove that serves as pin rest. An unpatinated short flint flake with prominent bulb of percussion, parallel flake scars on the dorsal face and limited edge retouch. It measures 33.05mm in length, 16.64mm in width, 6.51mm in thickness, and weighs 3.36g. This flake is of late Prehistoric date, probaly dating to the later Neolithic or Early Bronze Age, c.2,500-1,500 BC.

A fragment from the rim of a sheet copper-alloy vessel of probable Post-Medieval date. It is roughly rectangular in form, flat, and terminatng in old breaks at its base and both ends. It has suffered from some post-depositional damage and has traces of sooting or burning in places. The fragment measures 37.72mm in length, 22.42mm in height, 0.83mm in thickness, and 3.11g in weight. It is likely to be a fragment from a vessel of Post-Medieval date, perhaps c.1500-1700 AD, although an earlier date cannot be ruled out entirely.

A cast copper-alloy leg from a cooking vessel of Medieval to Post-Medieval date. It is triangular in section, tapering towards the foot, which is triangular in form and seemingly undecorated. At the top the leg terminates in old breaks where it joins the floor of the vessel, the entire object having traces of a dark green patina, some sooting and copper-alloy corrosive products. It measures 71.41mm in length, 20.96mm in width, 14.99mm in thickness, and weighs 50.37g. This vessel leg is probably from a cooking vessel of Medieval or later date, perhaps dating to between c.1400-1700 AD.

A copper alloy probably Post-Medieval hooked tag, incomplete due to wear and old breaks. The tag is circular, with decoration in the form of an eight-petalled flower in a circle, and a short, pointed projection. The reverse is plain and both sides have traces of tinning. The edges of the object are worn and irregular, and it is probable that there was a rectangular attachment loop extending from the side opposite the pointed projection. The latter may have extended into a curved hook. The object may have been deliberately trimmed to its present shape at some stage. It measures 14.13mm…

A copper alloy nail or stud head of probable Roman date. The head is almost globular, measuring 8.18mm in diameter, and the shaft is circular in section. It measures 23.08mm in length, and there is a slight recession of the shaft at 7.5mm from its lower terminal, where it narrows in diameter from 5.05mm to 4.14m. I it weighs 4.37g. Its most likely function was in connection with furniture upholstery.

A copper alloy Roman probable nail cleaner. It measures 40.4mm in length, 8.75mm in width at its centre, tapering to a point at one terminal. The object also tapers at the opposite terminal to a flat, rectangular projection incomplete due to old breaks. It is broken off across a perforation, which would have formed a suspension loop for attachment to a ring, most likely along with other toilet implements such as tweezers. A similar item from Colchester is illustrated in Crummy 1983,p.58, no.1874. This type of nail-cleaner is thought to be of first to second century date.
