A copper alloy annular mount of probable Post Medieval date. The object is formed from a flat band, curved round to form an annular shape, with one terminal just overlapping the other. One terminal is narrowed to an oval shape, and the other is incomplete due to old breaks. The band is about 1.8mm in thickness, and gradually expands in width from 5mm at the oval terminal, to a maximum of 8mm, except for one rectangular area, 9.6mm x 8.7mm, defined by a narowing of the band to either side. Post medieval copper alloy book mount, probably of 17th or 18th century date The mount is near-complete (with a length of 50.7mm and a weight of 12.4g). The mount is made of sheet copper alloy (1.8mm - 2.8mm thick) and was attached by a single rivet positioned near the end (2.6mm diameter). The rivet hole has been punched through, rather than drilled. The attachment end is straight, before the sides diverge slightly before converging to a rectangular panel (with a maximum width of 26.8mm), near the catch.
