Incomplete cast copper alloy small long brooch of early Early Medieval date (Anglo-Saxon). Only part of the head and a segment of the bow survive. The head is flat and plain in decoration and due to peripheral damage it is not possible to say whether the head would have been of trefoil (cruciform) or square-headed design when originally cast, although the present shape suggests trefoil as the more likely of the two. Incomplete cast copper alloy annular brooch of Early Medieval date (Anglo-Saxon or Anglian in culture). The main frame of the brooch is complete, although the area (perhaps a constriction) where the pin would have rotated and the pin are missing, resulting in the brooch having the appearance of a penannular brooch.
The brooch is circular, and semi-circular in cross-section. The frame measures c. 5.5mm in width and c. 3mm in thickness. The reverse is flat and undecorated, and the front is decorated with a series of incised transverse grooves. These grooves are arranged in four group…

Incomplete worked flint, Mesolithic/Neolithic. Light grey flint with mid grey mottling and the start of white patination. Soft hammer bulb on ventral surface. Three longitudinal flake scars on dorsal surface. Right hand dorsal end has vertical flake removed. Length 43.46mm, width 12.2mm, thickness 4.5mm (c.7mm as curved), weight 2.08g.
A very similar flint, although larger (length 68.4mm, width 14.1mm, thickness 6.0mm (as curved c.16mm), weight ) is in Derby Museum's collections, accession no. 1978-952/24, from Castle Pit Hill, Melbourne & said to be Mesolithic
