A worn and incomplete Post Medieval silver Scottish Eighth thistle-merk of James VI of Scotland (1567-1625 AD). The coin's value was 1s.8d Scottish. A complete cast copper alloy double loop oval buckle, Medieval to Post Medieval in date (c. 1350-1650 AD). The buckle has D-shaped loops which are both bevelled on their reverse surface and a slight notch for the pin rest on the frame. The strap bar is narrowed and slightly recessed with a simply-wrapped copper alloy pin still attached. Slightly protruding knops are placed at either end of the strap bar.
