A complete cast copper alloy double loop oval buckle, Medieval to Post Medieval in date (c. 1350-1650 AD). The buckle has D-shaped loops which are both bevelled on their reverse surface and a slight notch for the pin rest on the frame. The strap bar is narrowed and slightly recessed with a simply-wrapped copper alloy pin still attached. Slightly protruding knops are placed at either end of the strap bar. There is no further decoration. The frame measures 22.2 mm long; 16.4 mm wide; 3.4 mm thick; and weighs 1.75 grams.
