A cast copper alloy mount dating from the Early Medieval period. It is zoomorphic with a D-shaped section and two rivet holes containing copper alloy flat headed rivets. A series of triangular and chevron mouldings and transverse bars probably represent a degraded mask or beast head. It is broken at one end. The mount is probably of Early Medieval to Medieval date, about 900-1100 and of Viking style. Many Viking artefacts have been found in the same area. Compare NLM-E111C1.

A cast copper rotary key. The terminal of the key is trilobate with a circular aperture at the end on each lobe. There is also a small, rounded knop on the outer edge of each lobe. One lobe is broken. Running from between the lobes are low ridges (four in total). Below these are seven transverse ridges running across the tapering end of the key handle/terminal. 1st century Roman cast copper alloy wheel plate brooch. It has a raised inner and outer rim between which is a recessed surface which is slightly convex in section forming a slight rounded central ridge. Four opposed spokes which are triangular in section attach the rim to a central hub which is circular and cylindrical. It has a raised outer rim and a recessed area surrounding a central rounded knop. A cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame of late medieval date, now missing its pin. The frame is broadly circular with a central pin bar; the pin is now missing. The reverse is flat, while the front is decorated with moulded raised and sunken panels that alternate around the inner and outer edge of the frame. This creates an effect described by Margeson (1993, 28; no. 159), discussing a parallel, as 'castellated'. Late Saxon cast, copper alloy stirrup terminal. Of zoomorphic design, this terminal would have completely enclosed the joint of the base and one arm on the lower part of a stirrup. It is in the form of a crested animal head which is curled around so that it faces up the stirrup arm and forms a circular aperture. The animal head has a pointed snout and lentoid knops for eyes. First to mid second century Roman copper alloy "dolphin" brooch. Long thin arched and tapering bow, forming a rounded square in section. There is a long, triangular, recessed panel running along the back of the bow, possibly originally retaining enamel. At its tail the bow thickens to form a "droplet" shape. The stub of the catch plate survives. The wings are short and semi circular in section (hollow at the back) and terminate in a flattened knop.

There is a damaged and incomplete catchplate at the foot of the bow. The head of the brooch has two short, flat rectangular wings. There is a forward facing hook and an incomplete sprung pin. The object is 67.02mm in length, 16.30mm in width, 22.86mm in height and weighs 8.3g.

An incomplete and heavily corroded object, probably of Medieval or Post Medieval date. The fragment is undiagnostic but in plan consists of a sub-square 'pin-cushion' shaped central hub with a flat back and convex front surface. There are four equally spaced spokes projecting from each corner of its outer edge, each with a rectangular cross-section. All of the four spokes are broken and are of slightly different lengths.
