A cast copper rotary key. The terminal of the key is trilobate with a circular aperture at the end on each lobe. There is also a small, rounded knop on the outer edge of each lobe. One lobe is broken. Running from between the lobes are low ridges (four in total). Below these are seven transverse ridges running across the tapering end of the key handle/terminal. The stem of the key is narrowed from the end of the handle and becomes sub-circular in cross section. The stem is hollow. A cast copper devolved T-shaped brooch. Part of the bow, head and one wing only remaining. The remaining wing is tubular and slightly tapering. It would have housed the missing axis bar for a hinged pin mechanism. At the head is a smal integral chain loop with a curved upper edge and a circular pierced hole. Below this the head is triangular in cross section and projects forwards. The bow drops down from the head at an almost 90 degree angle. The bow flattens and expands out into a lozenge shaped plate. A copper alloy probable fitting resembling a small pulley. The alloy appears to be leaded bronze. The fitting is a circular disc with a central hole. Around part of the rim is a U-shaped channel. The remaining section of the rim (adjacent to the loop) is D sectioned with a small circular aperture at the base.The edges of the rim are scalloped. Around the central hole, on both faces of the disc, is a raised disc with eight regularly spaced grooves. At the top is a loop, possibly broken, which contains corroded iron. A copper alloy probable strainer. A slightly dished disc of copper alloy sheet metal which has been perforated by hand using a sub-circular punch for 33 of the holes, and a rectangular punch for one. The perforations are arranged in approximate concentric circles and are of varying sizes. Possibly part of a watering can rose or a shaker (for flour, salt or sand?). Late Saxon cast, copper alloy stirrup terminal. Of zoomorphic design, this terminal would have completely enclosed the joint of the base and one arm on the lower part of a stirrup. It is in the form of a crested animal head which is curled around so that it faces up the stirrup arm and forms a circular aperture. The animal head has a pointed snout and lentoid knops for eyes.
