A fragment of a copper alloy bow brooch dating to the first or second centuries AD. The fragment comprises the foot and openwork catchplate of the brooch. It is evident that the bow was originally D sectioned in shape and possessed a central, longitudinal rib running its length. The catchplate is openwork and has a sub-triangular cut-out.

A worn and damaged Roman copper alloy brooch fragment. Only the foot and part of catchplate survive. The remaining section of the bow has traces of a rouletted pattern down the length edged by a plain border on either side. This brooch may have been a Langton Down or an Aucissa type but too little of it survives to be certain,
