Neolithic polished flint axe, the surviving body of which measures 177 x 64 x 34mm. It is polished all over, but also has extensive residual flake scars from the original shaping of the axe blank by flaking. The lateral edges are rounded for their full length. The axe has been severely damaged in recent times, both at the broad, curved blade end and at the narrow butt; the scars from this damage show incipient patination. The main body of the axe is patinated and stained patchily in brown. It was found in 1958, while ditch digging.

A Neolithic flint fragment, most likely from a dagger. The object is trapezoidal and is part of the cental section of a dagger, snapped off at both terminals, and with retouched edges. There is bifacial working with striations visible on the raised areas of the body, resulting from partial polishing, which may have occurred before the final flaking. Colin Pendleton has observed that the flint is pale grey, of the type more usually associated with axe manufacture, suggesting that the material may have been mined.
