An Early Medieval silver penny of Offa of Mercia (757-96); heavy coinage (c.792-6), moneyer: Ciolhard/Ceolheard (North 321; Chick 203); mint: London. Refs: North 1994: 89; Chick 2010; also recorded as Naismith and Naylor 2012, no. 20. The coin shows some signs of corrosion to both surfaces and appears to be missing most of the outer edge of the flan.

A Medieval copper alloy harness pendant fragment. It consists of the upper part only which has a knopped protrusions above a circular-shaped body, probably from a quatrefoil pendant. The suspension loop is turned at ninety degrees to the body and is complete. There is gilding covering much of the outer surface, and it is present on the inner surface also. The fragment measures 25.59mm in surviving length, 16.5mm in width, and weighs 2.15g.

A Medieval copper alloy buckle frame. It is one half of a double oval frame, one half missing due to old breaks. Their are knops to either end of the central bar. The outside edge is decorated with two grooves, each flanked by a pair of triangular flanges, and a central floral motif in a projecting oval. The frame measures 25.89mm in surviving length, 36.29mm in width and weighs 5.91g.

A Neolithic flint fragment, most likely from a dagger. The object is trapezoidal and is part of the cental section of a dagger, snapped off at both terminals, and with retouched edges. There is bifacial working with striations visible on the raised areas of the body, resulting from partial polishing, which may have occurred before the final flaking. Colin Pendleton has observed that the flint is pale grey, of the type more usually associated with axe manufacture, suggesting that the material may have been mined. An incompete cast copper-alloy bracelet of late Roman date. One terminal end survives intact, as well as part of the band, the remainde rof the object now missing due to old breaks. An incompete and very worn cast copper-alloy Roman trumpet derivative brooch. It is missing the head loop, most of the pin and the foot of the brooch due to old breaks. A Medieval copper alloy harness pendant. It is shield-shaped, with the remains of an integral suspension loop turned at ninety degrees at the centre of the upper edge. No trace of decoration survives on the outer surface, but there are some lines of stress, indicating that the object has been damaged in antiquity. Traces of gilding can be determined. The harness pendant measures 48.64mm in length to the top of the broken loop, 31.29mm in width across the shoulder, and weighs 6.29g.

A cast copper alloy Medieval to Post-Medieval vessel foot. It is an angled base from the foot of a large cauldron or tripod skillet. It has a worn flat base, and is L-shaped, the foot leaving the base at an angle of 120 degrees. The outside surface has a strong, central vertical rib, and has a dark brown patination. The foot measures 36.06mm in length, 57.99mm in width, with asurviving height of 25.86mm. It weighs 191.94g.

An incompete cast copper alloy pin of probable Roman date preserving the head and a short section of the shaft, which terminates in old breaks. The head is globular in form with a flattened base from which extends the integral shaft that has a circular section. The shaft terminates in old breaks below the head and the entire object has a dark green patina. It measures 7.46mm in diameter, 13.98mm in height and weighs 1.44g. This pin head is of Roman date with parallels noted at Hacheston (Blagg et al., 2005: nos. 27-29).

A fragment from the rim of a cast copper-alloy clapper-bell of late Medieval to Post-Medieval date. The rim is slightly everted and decorated on its outer surface with four moulded transverse/circumferential ridges. It measures 26.50mm in length/height, 37.84mm in width, 60mm in original diameter, 2.23mm in thickness and 12.18g in weight. This is a fragment from the rim of a clapper bell similar to other examples from Suffolk (for example SF-671EB6 or SF-ACF3F6) and is of probable 15th-17th century AD date.

A cast lead weight, possibly a spindle whorl, of Roman or later date. It is conical in form with a central circular perforation and eight unevenly spaced vertical ribs positioned around its circumference. This weight measures 35.57mm in diameter, 15.44mm in height and weighs 76.06g. It may perhaps have been used as a spindle whorl and could date to any point from the Roman period onwards.
