A complete cast copper-alloy harness fitting of possible Medieval date (c. 1200-c. 1500). The object consists of a circular-sectioned shaft which extends downwards and evolves into hook which is 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear. The hook has a sharp point. At the top of the shaft is a sub-conical head with a rounded apex. 40.9 x 12.6 x 12.3mm. Weight: 14.27g. A similar published object is dated c. 1200-c. 1500 (Read (2007: 215, no. 774).

An incomplete cast lead-alloy button (c. 1600-c. 1700). The front is low conical and the back is flat. At the front, raised decoration is in the form of a 'wheel' of eight spokes. The spokes radiate from a central pellet. At the outer end of each spoke there is a pellet all of which are joined by a straight line. At the back there is the remains of an integral loop. The grey metal is partially covered with lead corrosion products. Maximum diameter: 18.6mm; thickness: 8.9mm. Weight: 11.39g.

The small hole in the centre of the weight is the mark made when the flan was turned [on a lathe] to the correct size (Withers and Withers 1995, 34). Diameter: 18.6mm. Weight: 5.82g.

A late Medieval - Post Medieval lead alloy artefact probably an incomplete scabbard chape dating 1450-1600. This object is roughly triangular in plan with a globular knop at the end. The upper section is missing and the surface is very rough. This object may have been miscast or burnt. Egan (2005:192-193) illustrates similar lead alloy scabbard chapes which have globular knops. The author notes that the lead/tin examples seem more widely to be common among casual finds of late medieval - 16th century date. A cast copper-alloy double-loop buckle of suggested Late Medieval to early post-Medieval date (see Whitehead 1996: 47, nos. 272-274). The sub-circular frame is moulded to give the appearance of a five-petalled flower head, each petal separated from the next by a 'V-shaped' groove. The axis bar is slightly off-centre and the pin is missing. The surfaces of the frame are flat. It measures 27.7mm long, 26.4mm wide and 2.2mm thick. The weight is 4.9g.
