An almost complete late medieval cast copper-alloy Saint Barbara pilgrim badge (c. 1400-c. 1500). The badge is in moulded relief at the front and largely flat at the rear. At the front the moulded design depicts a nimbed and draped Saint Barbara standing beside the tower in which she was imprisoned and holding in her left hand a palm branch symbolising her martyrdom. An incomplete Roman cast copper-alloy harness fitting in the form of a skirted terret ring (c. AD 43-c. AD 200(. The incomplete ring above the skirt is sub-rectangular, almost oval in cross-section. It has an old break at each end and on each face, close to the break. It has stamped crescent-shaped motifs. The skirt appears to have been circular in plan and slightly down-turned. However, it squashed and mishapen. The skirt covered a loop, now incomplete. Only the stubs of the loop survive. Consequently, it is uncertain whether it would have been circular or oval. A Roman silver finger ring with a gem set in the bezel. It has an oval hoop which expands round the bezel, and is D shaped in section. An incomplete and misshapen post-Medieval silver thimble (1600-1700). Treasure case no. 2010 T749. The body is decorated with two horizontal zones of waffle-type indentations divided by a narrow panel containing raised contiguous pheon-like motifs. The rim is deep and plain. 45.2 x 23.6 x 0.4mm. Weight: 4.15g. The find contains a minimum of 10% silver and predates 1710. It thus qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996 in terms of precious metal content and age. A corroded single-looped cast copper-alloy buckle frame of late early-medieval to medieval date. The buckle is D shaped. The outer edge is swollen with a thick circular cross-section. At the junction of the loop and pin bar there is a curved removal at the outside edge of the loop. The sides of the buckle extend slightly beyond this junction to form a small knop. A Medieval copper alloy gilt probable furniture fitting or harness fitting, measuring 51.64x10.89x6.19mm and weighing 7.54g. It is rectangular in shape and slightly domed to the front (the reverse is hollowed). At one end is a rectangular rivet hole 2.82x2.35mm and at the other a hook 4.84mm wide tapering to a point. It is bent over. Just behind the hook is a 2.41mm diameter rivet hole. Both ends are flanked by a transverse rib.
