Fragment of a cast copper alloy shoe buckle with drilled frames for separate spindles. This piece of openwork is lozenge-shaped in plan and convex in profile, with a cylindrical tube at the centre of the back, which would have held part of the spindle.The fragment has two circular perforations surrounded by moulded raised pellets and oblique lines which make the raised areas between them look like ropework. Tinned cast copper alloy trapezoidal shoe or knee buckle with rounded ends and a moulded bifid collar around each of the spindle holes drilled into the frame where there is evidence of iron corrosion from the separate steel spindle, now missing. The spindle would have held a cast copper alloy chape and pin which are also now missing. The tinned surface has flaked away in areas revealing a copper alloy core. A possible cast lead or lead alloy spindle whorl. In plan it is sub-circular and in profile is sub semi-circular. There is a central circular perforation which is 9.2mm diameter. The upper surface of the spindle whorl is undecorated. The base is flat and also undecorated. The surface of the spindle whorl is oxidised and therefore is a cream colour. It measures 25.15mm diameter and stands 12.1mm tall. It weighs 33.4g. It is difficult to date lead spindle whorls, but anywhere between the Roman and Medieval period.

A cast copper alloy Post Medieval probable dress fastening. This component of a dress fastening is the 'eye' and not the 'hook'. The body of the dress fastening is a horizontal moulded sub-lozenge in plan which is decorated with the Commonwealth Arms. An incomplete Roman cast-copper-alloy steelyard (AD 43-AD 410). The object is one end of an arm. A small part, 25.0mm in length, is circular in cross-section and the terminal end, 57.2mm in length, is flat and sub-rectangular in cross-section. There is an incomplete loop at one side on this longer part, close to where the two elements join. Another incomplete loop is situated about mid-way along the opposite side and a slightly larger terminal loop is also incomplete. This steelyard is corroded and in poor condition. The breaks are old. 82.2 x 9.8 x 3.7mm. Weight: 10.47g.

It has a smooth dull patina on the inner surface and the outer surface is coarser and pitted and has parallel striations. The angle of the rim was about 35° from the horizontal plane. An incomplete Roman cast copper-alloy bracelet. The bracelet is slightly convex at the front, less convex at the rear (almost flat) and has rounded sides. Near the centre it has a maximum width of 5.7mm and tapers towards each end. At one end the width is 4.9mm and at the opposite end it has a width of 4.3mm. Decoration at the front consists of transverse parallel groves and small circular indentations. However, due to wear, some of these are very difficult to see.
