A cast copper-alloy early post medieval knife end cap. The cap is sub-rectangular in plan and oval in section. The sides are decorated with a saltire within a low-relief rectangular border. One terminal has a vertical slot in the centre which has traces of the iron blade. The surface of the cap is heavily abraded. It measures 14.36mm in length, 12.02mm in width, is 10.09mm thick and weighs 8.6g. End-caps such as this example are dated to the 16th century (Geake, H. 2001 Finds Recording Guide 1.1 unpublished).

It has moderately straight, very slightly battered edges. One face is relatively flat while the other is more convex near the butt. The yellow brown flint has a trace of grey patination on the convex face near the tip.

The butt is U shaped and is battered on one side and the tip is pointed, possibly missing its tip. It has moderately straight, slightly battered edges. One face is relatively flat while the other is more convex near the butt. The mid yellow grey flint is covered over most of its surface with a rough pale grey/white patina.

An incomplete Roman (AD 100-300) copper alloy finger-ring of Henig Type VIII, consisting of the bezel, one shoulder only and part of the hoop. It measures 18.47x18.70mm and weighs 1.8g. The bezel is oval in shape (14.61x11.08mm) with a raised circular area in the middle, missing its setting. It measures 7.23mm in diameter and is 2.53mm deep. A copper-alloy arm from a set of nutcrackers dating to the 17th or 18th century (1650-1800). The arm has the remains of the two point hinge at top beneath which the curved cracking surface is present. This is ridged with horizontal grooves. Beneath this point the arm tapers and is distorted. The stem is of circular section and tapers in diameter towards the base, where there is an acorn-shaped knop. A Post-Medieval (1500-1800) hemispherical lead mount with iron staining/ corrosion on the reverse and depicting a lion to the front, measuring 22.84mm in diameter, standing 12.36mm high and weighing 21.8g. The reverse is mostly flat. However, to one side is a raised area of lead with possibly iron remains around it.
