A two disc lead seal with connector strip, 17th century in date. The front disc is stamped with an 'A' for Augsburg and is surrounded by four annulets and a pellet at the centre. A cast copper-alloy leg from a Medieval to post-Medieval vessel. The leg is trapezoidal in section, has a vertical ridge at the centre of the upper surface and tapers to a rounded foot. The surfaces are heavily corroded and there are adhering traces of an unidentified black substance. The piece measures 57.9mm high, 35.6mm wide and 17.9mm thick. The weight is 104.3g.

A heavily corroded lead seal matrix of Medieval (probably 13th century) date. The matrix is vessica-shaped and has the central image of a stylised flower, with a three-lobed head similar to a clover leaf. The legend is illegible. On the reverse is a cross-shaped moulding, at the top of which is what appears to be the remnant of a loop. To the right hand side of the lower section of the cross is a moulded pellet; to the left is an unidentified symbol. The artefact measures 29.4mm long, 21mm wide and 5.1mm thick. The weight is 8.49g.

A flat circular cast copper alloy 2oz trade weight, with a raised rim on the upper surface. The centre of the weight is stamped "G HAYWARD MAKER HERTFORD" Adjacent to the stamped "2 oz" is an impressed Queen's crown and underneath this "VR" and "484" below. It actually weighs 1 and 7/8 oz or 56 grams. It measures 35mm across and is 6mm deep.

A copper-alloy uniface coin weight for a French ecu au soleil coin. The weight is circular in plan. The upper surface bears a relief-stamped crowned shield containing a sun with eight rays. The reverse is plain. The object measures 13.5mm in diameter, 2.8mm thick and weighs 3.13g. Withers and Withers suggest that coin weights of this form, having a central lis within the crown, were probably produced in England. The ecu au soleil was issued between 1475 and 1654 (Withers and Withers 1995: 39).

A copper-alloy mount of Medieval date. The mount is circular in plan and has been stamped from a piece of sheet metal. The central image is that of a six-petalled flower head, each petal being of equal size and form and separated from the next by a groove. At the centre of the mount is a small rivet hole. Surrounding the flower head is a groove inside a raised rim. The artefact has a dark green patina. It measures 30.5mm in diameter, 1.5mm thick and weighs 2.26g. A cast copper-alloy horse harness pendant. The pendant is in the form of a large quatrefoil with a small right-angle in each corner. In the centre is a heraldic crest, though it is somewhat difficult to describe in the absence of colour. In the centre is a shield containing a chevron between three crosses bottony/fleury or even crosslet. There appears to be the remains of enamel in the background of the shield, and so the heraldy might best be described as 'gules a chevron between three crosses bottony or'. A copper alloy Medieval annular brooch. The outer face is decorated with six lobes all containing two circular depressions (apart from one which is pierced with a single hole to hold the pin), alternating with six raised circular collets, angled slightly outwards. Some of these collets contain a whitish material - perhaps that remains of a fixative for holding jewels in place. The end of the wire pin is folded back on itself and secured through the hole in the frame. Similar examples can be seen illustrated in Meols (Griffiths et al. 2007, p.143), particularly no's: 1720, 1722 & 1723.…

A silver scoop from the terminal of post-medieval table implement, possibly a salt spoon. The scoop comprises a shallow circular bowl cut into a moulded scallop-shell terminal. A slender stem extends from the bowl and bifurcates just before the break. Mid to late 18th century.
