Record ID: CORN-9DCD87
Object type: SEAL
Broad period: POST MEDIEVAL
County: Cornwall
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
Glass bottle seal with raised lettering in the form of an 'I' above 'Pra'[...] above the date 1[7..]. The I is the first initial of the owner of the bottle that the seal was attached to, and the lower letters are part of the surname. The style of the lettering, comparing it to other examples in the Royal Institution of Cornwall's collection, and the dark green glass suggest that the seal was attached to an 18th-century bottle.
