A cast copper-alloy phallic mount. The mount is T-shaped in plan and C shaped in section with convex front and slightly concave back. The largest element consists of a tapering penis shaft and head with moulded definition. At the base of the shaft and to either side are the round testicles. There are two integral attchment lugs on the reverse. The mount has a mottled green patina. It measures 25.7mm long, 14.5mm wide, 3.9mm thick and weighs 5.1 grams.  The phallus symbol was thought to ward off the evil eye in the Roman period and was widely used on amulets and as a protective …

A Post Medieval lead alloy (pewter) figurative mount, dating to the 16th century. The mount is domed with a hollow reverse. The front has been decoratively case to resemble a human face with pronounced jaw and beard. The face also has pronounced brows and cheek bones with pellet eyes with a central recessed dot for the pupils; a broad nose and moustache; the hair radiates in wavy lines around the face. There are two pellets between the eyes. On the reverse is a single integral rivet for attachment. The surface has a gilt appearance due to tin sulphides “nature’s gilding”. …

Medieval cast copper alloy bar mount comprised of a domed oval body with a worn semi-circular knop at each end containing copper alloy rivet. The upper surface has three grooves across its width with perpendicular grooves dividing the area into small raised rectangles. The reverse is hollow and undecorated. It is 13.35mm long, 7.46mm wide across the body, 4.4mm wide across the knops, is 2.19mm deep and weighs 0.5 grams.

A copper-alloy mount of post-Medieval (probably 17th century) date. The central element of the mount is drop-shaped and has a convex upper surface. Projecting from both the top and bottom is a rounded lobe with herringbone grooves. The underside of the mount is concave and there are two integral rivets (incomplete), located one at each end of the central portion. The surfaces of the mount are heavily corroded. It measures 38mm long, 16.7mm wide and 5.4mm thick. The weight is 6.79g.

A copper-alloy mount of post-Medieval date. The head consists of a moulded flower head in low relief. A central pellet is surrounded by two concentric rings of petals and there are six pointed petals which project from the outer edge. Located close to the centre of the flat reverse is a squashed rivet. The artefact is heavily corroded. It measures 23.3mm in diameter, 3.8mm thick and weighs 3.98g.
