Incomplete tinned bell, upper part only with rounded cannon at apex, remains of iron crown staple and clapper, at least eight triangular apertures in side. See examples from Bradenham (Norfolk HER 31358), Great Dunham (Norfolk HER 45401) and two bells dated to the Roman period, from Newport, Essex (PAS ESS-954081) and Brill, Buckinghamshire (PAS no number), but also to two others considered to be Late Saxon, from Paulespury, Northamptonshire (PAS NARC-D9C172) and West Clandon, Surrey (PAS SUR-B48E74). Height 21mm. Diameter >20mm.

A fragment from an unusual medieval copper-alloy openwork anthropomorphic buckle plate. Cast, possibly bearded male, figure; head with engraved angular eyes (one partly perforated by a central rivet-hole, splayed on reverse, possibly secondary?) and a mouth, two stumps of a possible perforated lug at apex, short horizontal projections with curved upper edges form shoulders with short (possibly broken) bar projecting from base. 15 x >22mm. Incomplete unusual copper alloy buckle, plate of (1mm) thick sheet in the form of a bird, body and wings separated by roughly keyhole-shaped spaces, engraved decoration of lines of tiny triangles, with three grooves to mark the slightly flaring tail. The wing terminals, which would have been pierced by rivets, are missing. >39 x >33mm. Pin slot, no frame recesses but tiny spiked projection on both sides next to fold. Gilt unidentified object: D-sectioned bar, both ends missing, with well preserved "chip carved" ornament on the convex face of a back-to-back pair of human masks, with pronounced eyebrows, eyes and spatulate noses. Bears some resemblance to a radiate brooch knob. >15.5 x 9 x 3mm. 6th century.
