Cast copper alloy Headstud brooch length 47mm, width 21mm, thickness 22mm, weight 14.97g. The brooch has semicircular wings which protect the spring, which is now missing.Two rear ward facing hook on the top of the head would have held the spring in place.At the top of the bow is a small lug with a circular recession below. The bow is plain, the foot is circular with a dished underside. The catchplate on the reverse is incomplete.

Incomplete unusual copper alloy buckle, plate of (1mm) thick sheet in the form of a bird, body and wings separated by roughly keyhole-shaped spaces, engraved decoration of lines of tiny triangles, with three grooves to mark the slightly flaring tail. The wing terminals, which would have been pierced by rivets, are missing. >39 x >33mm. Pin slot, no frame recesses but tiny spiked projection on both sides next to fold. A cast copper-alloy florid cruciform brooch of the late 6th-early 7th century.
The brooch is largely complete, missing only its pin. The head had a central panel with slightly stepped and flaring wings. The top of the central panel and outer edges of the wings have a border in relief bearing stylised Style I masks. Double grooving is found at the top and base of the central panel.

A copper alloy pin head dating from the Early Medieval period. The head is polyhedral in shape (a cube with the corners cut off) and each of the four main faces is decorated with a ring and dot motif. There is also a ring and dot on the top. There is a collar where the pin shaft joins. Only a small part of the pin shaft remains and this is circular in section. It probably dates from 720 - 850 AD. It has a length of 19.17mm, width 7.15mm, thickness 2.47mm, weight 2.95g. For reference see YORYM-2B7B77 on the PAS database.

A worn cast copper-alloy object, possibly part of the hinged handle from a copper-alloy vessel of Post-Medieval date. It is rectangular in form and D-shaped in section with projecting double semi-circular lug at one end. The lug is perforated by a cylindrical copper-alloy bar with flattened sub-oval shaped heads. This holds in place the remains of a plate that has a semi-circular lug and a tapering triangular section. Incomplete copper alloy T-shaped brooch, length 26mm, width 33mm, thickness 26mm, weight 9.15g.Tubular wings which hold the pin axis bar, there is a slot in the centre of the wings at the rear for the pin which is missing.The front of the wings is decorated with a series of recessed lines.The head of the bow is rather wide but rapidly narrows to the bow.The bow is truncated just below the head resulting in the loss of the catchplate.

A fragment from an unusual medieval copper-alloy openwork anthropomorphic buckle plate. Cast, possibly bearded male, figure; head with engraved angular eyes (one partly perforated by a central rivet-hole, splayed on reverse, possibly secondary?) and a mouth, two stumps of a possible perforated lug at apex, short horizontal projections with curved upper edges form shoulders with short (possibly broken) bar projecting from base. 15 x >22mm.
This fragment was published in Ashley (2016, fig.1, no.4), and originally identified as a mount, but see corrigendum on p.296 which corrects this…
