Incomplete tinned bell, upper part only with rounded cannon at apex, remains of iron crown staple and clapper, at least eight triangular apertures in side. See examples from Bradenham (Norfolk HER 31358), Great Dunham (Norfolk HER 45401) and two bells dated to the Roman period, from Newport, Essex (PAS ESS-954081) and Brill, Buckinghamshire (PAS no number), but also to two others considered to be Late Saxon, from Paulespury, Northamptonshire (PAS NARC-D9C172) and West Clandon, Surrey (PAS SUR-B48E74). Date: 16th/17th Century Description: A silver, probably hollow circular button. The front piece is domed with a protruding pimple at the apex. The back piece is slightly convex and has a central integral attachment loop. This has a solid stem which is rectangular in section, which divides to form a round loop. Discussion: In terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996. An incomplete cast copper-alloy unidentified object. The object is possibly a handle or a fragment from a piece of furniture. The object is in the form of a shaft or handle, with a large circular terminal at one end covered in iron corrosion. The other end is broken. The shaft leaving the circular terminal is rectangular in plan and square in cross-section. It meets a slightly expanded circular waist that narrows shortly thereafter and then expands again into three moulded collars. The shaft is broken thereafter. the object is probably Roman in date.

Acast copper alloy teardrop-headed button and loop fastener of Wild's hybrid Class II/III dating to the early Roman period. The fastener consists of a teardrop shaped head and a triangular shank. At the base of the tear-drop shaped head at the top is a moulded oval knop. The teardrop-shaped head is unlike most class III fasteners as it is perforated, hence the hybrid of Wild's Class II/III. A very worn and corroded cast copper-alloy suspension loop, probably from a purse bar of early Post-Medieval date. It is oval shaped in form, tapering at its base where there is perhaps a transverse collar with the remains of a possible integrally cast circular rivet on the bottom surface. Traces of a dark green/brown patina are present in places, but all surfaces are extremely worn and with evidence of copper-alloy corrosion. An incomplete cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame of 18th century date. When complete the frame would probably have been rectangular in plan. One outside edge and parts of the sides survive. The front, the outer and inner edges are slightly raised in the form of narrow border. At the centre of the inner face of the outside edge there is a small pin rest.
