Four sherds from vessels of late Medieval to early Post-Medieval date with a combined weight of 76.14g. This includes two rim sherds from coarse ware vessels with a combined weight of 34.09g, a coarse ware body sherd weighing 4.29g, and a handle fragment with green glaze and punched decoration on the exterior surface that weighs 37.76g. These sherds are of probable 15th-17th century AD date.

A copper alloy square shaped coin weight possibly for the Thistle crown of James I (1603 – 1625). The weight is square and flat with straight sides. On one face is the design of a square topped shield containing what is probably a rampant lion. The back of the weight is corroded, but may be a thistle design. It has a length of 15.27mm, width 13.48mm, thickness 1.77mm, weight 1.90g. For reference see P and B Withers 1995. Lions, Ships and Angels p. 35.

A copper-alloy knop from the headplate of an Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch. The knop is full rounded, having a globular head with two reels below it. A small tab of metal extends from the base; the interior of the head is hollow and contains the remains of an iron pin.

Gilt unidentified object: D-sectioned bar, both ends missing, with well preserved "chip carved" ornament on the convex face of a back-to-back pair of human masks, with pronounced eyebrows, eyes and spatulate noses. Bears some resemblance to a radiate brooch knob. >15.5 x 9 x 3mm. 6th century.

A silver coin that has been folded in half. The coin is badly damaged so the design and inscription are largely obscured, except for a hand holding a sceptre, but this enough to identify it as a Cross and crosslets (Tealby) penny of Henry II (1154 – 1189) dating from 1158 - 1180. It has a length of 19.28mm, width 9.72mm, thickness 2.18mm, weight 1.45g. See North number 952 – 961.

A cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle of Post-Medieval date. It has rectangular loops that flare slightly at their outer corners and are separated by a central bar that is triangular in section. A separately cast copper-alloy pin hinges around the bar and is triangular in section, tapering to a sharp point that extends beyond the outer edge of the frame. The buckle measures 33.05mm in width, 21.43mm in height, 2.48mm in thickness, and weighs 5.10g. It is of early Post-Medieval date, probably from the 16th-17th centuries AD.
