An incomplete cast copper-alloy unidentified object. The object is possibly a handle or a fragment from a piece of furniture. The object is in the form of a shaft or handle, with a large circular terminal at one end covered in iron corrosion. The other end is broken. The shaft leaving the circular terminal is rectangular in plan and square in cross-section. It meets a slightly expanded circular waist that narrows shortly thereafter and then expands again into three moulded collars. The shaft is broken thereafter. the object is probably Roman in date.

Gilt unidentified object: D-sectioned bar, both ends missing, with well preserved "chip carved" ornament on the convex face of a back-to-back pair of human masks, with pronounced eyebrows, eyes and spatulate noses. Bears some resemblance to a radiate brooch knob. >15.5 x 9 x 3mm. 6th century.
