Cast copper alloy spoon.The terminal is a ‘Baluster seal’ type with a flat plain circular disc (seal) with moulded Baluster decoration below and an oval cross-section stem.The bowl is fig shaped and wear on the forward edge may indicate the user was right handed.There is a maker’s mark below the stem on the inside of the bowl which maybe the initials of the maker.This artefact dates to the late 16th to 17th century.Length 145mm width 46mm, thickness 9mm, weight 23.08g

On the other side is a four petalled flower enclosed within cross hatching.The neck is complete and pinched shut at the aperture, the angular suspension lugs on either side are complete.

Medieval composite strap end fragment length 33mm, width 20mm, thickness 5mm, weight 4.9g.Incomplete forked spacer plate with projecting acorn terminal/knop, the two arms of the spacer are truncated.Both the top and bottom plates are missing.
Egan & Pritchard publishes a number of similar composite strap ends with acorn knops, dated to between 1330-1450 ('Dress Accessories' HMSO) p.143-5.

Cast copper alloy Headstud brooch length 47mm, width 21mm, thickness 22mm, weight 14.97g. The brooch has semicircular wings which protect the spring, which is now missing.Two rear ward facing hook on the top of the head would have held the spring in place.At the top of the bow is a small lug with a circular recession below. The bow is plain, the foot is circular with a dished underside. The catchplate on the reverse is incomplete.

Incomplete copper alloy T-shaped brooch, length 26mm, width 33mm, thickness 26mm, weight 9.15g.Tubular wings which hold the pin axis bar, there is a slot in the centre of the wings at the rear for the pin which is missing.The front of the wings is decorated with a series of recessed lines.The head of the bow is rather wide but rapidly narrows to the bow.The bow is truncated just below the head resulting in the loss of the catchplate.
