A distorted but complete cast silver button, circular in plan with a down-turned edge. It is decorated with two conjoined hearts with a crown above. On the reverse of the button is a complete circular loop.
A direct parallel can be found in the Treasure Annual Report 2004, no. 236. This of the conjoined hearts may have commemorated the marriage of Charles II of England to Catherine of Braganza in 1662.

A worn and distorted, but complete, cast silver button, circular in plan with a down-turned edge. It is decorated with a single heart bisected by two crossing arrows with distinct feathered flights. Above the hearts are flames. On the reverse of the button is a complete circular loop.

Copper alloy fragment of a button of probable post medieval date (1600-1700). The head of the button survives as does a fragment of the shank on the reverse. The front face is decorated with a series of vertical cast lines. In shape the button is best described as convex. It measures 8.7mm in diameter, is 4.0mm thick and weighs 1.05 grams.
