A copper alloy (brass) Roman contemporary copy of a Denarius of Maximinus I (AD235-238), measuring 18-19mm in diameter and weighing 3.10g (47.8gn). It is worn and cast, and if silvered would have been intended to pass as a denarius. It is too light to be acceptable as an aureus.
Obverse: Laureate draped cuirassed bust right
