Silver Coin. Cut Halfpenny of John (1199-1216), Class 5B2, issues of 1204/5-1208/9. Obverse description: Top of crown of five pellets, the largest central pellet at base of cross; hair rendered by curl and pellet. Obverse inscription: ---HENRIC--- form of R suggests Class 5B2 (Wren 1992, rev. edn. 2006 consulted). Reverse description: Short cross, four pellets in one quadrant, quatrefoil adjacent Reverse inscription: .ON./(----)??O?LG/ Diameter (estimated): 17.46mm, Weight: 0.54mm. Either clipped or chipped at one edge; looks a little less than a half penny.

Obverse description: Bust forward, sceptre with III alongside it. Obverse inscription: REX III H Reverse description: Voided long cross, three pellets in each compartment. Diameter: 17.3mm, Weight: 0.63gms. Good condition.
