A complete silver finger ring of Medieval date (c. 1100-c. 1300). Treasure case no. 2010 T60. The ring is formed of a slender hoop, D-shaped in section with an oval cup-like bezel containing an oval-shaped red stone which is, perhaps, a garnet. The bezel has been soldered to the hoop. Similar finger-rings, although made of gold, have been recorded from Kingston St Michael, Wiltshire (TAR 2003: no. 169) and the Diss area, Suffolk (TAR 2007: no. 236). Hoop: diameter: 21.2; width: 1.6mm; thickness: 0.9mm. Bezel: 7.2 x 5.6 x 3.8mm. Weight: 1.15g.

A later medieval copper-alloy thimble of cast construction. The thimble is domed with slightly flared sides and a rounded top. The drilled pits begin at the top, the uppermost part of which is bare, and continue in a continuous spiral to the base in a fairly regular fashion. The thickness of this cast thimble might suggest that it was used for heavy duty work. Above the base is a bare hoop delineated by an absence of pits which taper off. A cast copper alloy single looped buckle of medieval date, probably 14th / 15th century AD. The buckle is trapezoidal in shape and has punched ring and dot-like motifs and double lines of punched triangles as decoration. There is a recessed strap bar which is commonly a feature of medieval buckles. Similar examples recorded on this database include WILT-E172FB and PUBLIC-20BC3A. The buckle measures 31.82mm long, 15.01mm wide and weighs 3.7gms.

A two-part strap-clasp modified for use as a buckle. It has three elements, all of copper alloy; plate, frame and pin. The plate is made from a piece of strip wrapped around the frame's bar, without frame recesses. There are four leaf shaped elements bent inwards to create the base of the bell. The beel measures 55mm long, 15mm wide and the base has a diameter of 15mm.

Cast copper alloy double-loop annular buckle with bevelled inside edge and narrowed and recessed pin bar with its rolled sheet pin still attached. The frame is semi-circular in section with a flat base and convex upper surface. Half way along one edge of the frame is a triangular notch for the pin rest. There are marks on the surface of the frame which are due to corrosion and not decoration. Whitehead (1996) illustrates a similar example on page 45, No.254, which he dates to c.1350-1650. Read (1988) illustrates a similar example on page 62, No.280, which is dated to c.1370-1500.
