A lead disc from a post-Medieval cloth seal. The disc is circular in plan and has an attached portion of the connecting strip. The upper surface bears a relief-stamped mark comprising two letter 'C's, arranged back-to-back. Above the letters is a crown, while below the letters is a probable number '3', which may originally have formed part of the date [16]3[4]. The bent and corroded artefact measures 17.2mm in diameter, 1mm thick and weighs 1.63g. Copper alloy Roman Bagendon brooch. The head is small and flat. It is decorated with three parallel, raised, horizontal lines. To the rear, in the centre, is a notch where the hinged pin would have sat. The pin and pin fitting are now missing. The rear of the head would probably have curved round originally, forming a small cylinder to hold the pin in place. Fragment (approximately 50%)of copper alloy medieval purse bar. Twisted globular terminal, 9mm in diameter, with grooves seperating the 4 segments. The bar is circular in section and 3mm in diameter. At the opposite end of the bar is approximately 50% of the central circular hole, broken vertically, through which the rove would have fitted at a 90degree angle. The object is 46mm long in total. A similar example can be seen in "Material Culture in London in an Age of Transition" Egan, G. MoLAS monograph 19. Figure 267, page 62.

A copper-alloy Colchester derivative brooch of Roman (1st century) date. The wings consist of a horizontally-aligned half cylinder which is set lower than the top of the bow and angles upwards. The spring consists of eight coils of copper-alloy wire and extends into a remnant of the pin. Post Medieval cast copper alloy mount of 16th or 17th century date. The mount is triangular with a double lobed top, making it roughly heart-shaped, or similar to fly’s wings. It has a debased acorn knop terminal at the bottom with remains of transverse incised lines. The front is slightly convex and the back flat. A copper alloy T-shaped bow brooch. The pin and the lower part of the bow are missing. The wings are wide and cylindrical, housing an iron axis bar for a hinged pin mechanism (the wide , rounded head of the pin remains). The shallow D-shaped bow projects bow tapers gently to a more marked constriction forming the leg of the bow. This is broken a short way down. RIC V, pt 2, p. 569, no. 129. It has a dark brown patina and the edges of the flan are somewhat ragged, but it is otherwise in good condition. It is 19mm in diameter and 2mm thick. It weighs 1.63gm.
