Cast copper alloy La Tene chape dating to the early Iron Age, (800-300BC). The chape is anchor shaped and consists of a rectangular central section which narrows towards the end. It then expands into two tapering arms which create the anchor shape. These arms terminate in circular bulbous projections. Each of these circular terminals contains a central circular depression. The terminals are attached to the main body of the object by a small strip of copper alloy. There is a small irregular perforation at the base of the object.
