A fourth century copper alloy Roman AE3, GLORIA EXERCITVS type, of Constantine II or Constantius II, c. 330-5. The obverse has the laureate, draped and cuirassed bust facing right with the reverse showing two soldiers flanking two standards. The letters in exergue are hard to make out. The coin is in very poor condition with much of the surface now eroding and flaking off, leaving a mottled pale green and brown patina. Underneath, the coin is probably relatively unworn.

A cast lead weight. The weight is circular with a rim and an integral loop at the top. The loop may have been for a ribbon. The front of the weight is decorated with a raised shield with a crude raised cross on it. Behind the shield is an elaborate quatrefoil, with triangular projections between each pair of lobes. These triangles then have pellets either side. The reverse of the weight is flat and undecorated.

A cast copper alloy solid button dating to the late medieval to early post-medieval period. The button is complete with an integrally cast shank. The button head is semi-circular and decorated with radiating incised lines. The shank has been cast integrally within the head, and consists of a flat plate, which has been pierced to allow it to be sewn into place. This button dates to between 1400-1650.

An incomplete cast copper alloy trumpet brooch of Roman date. The head, bow and catchplate all survive. Only the spring and pin are missing. The head is wide and trumpet shaped. Behind the head the spring loop survives intact, this would have held the axis bar and the spring mechanism in situ. From the head the upper bow extends to a collar decorated with incised lines. A cast copper alloy double looped buckle frame. The strap bar is narrowed. There is no pin recess. The buckle frame is complete. The buckle is a mid brownish-grey colour and the surface is pitted. These buckles date from circa 1350 - 1700. Parallels for this type of buckle can be seen in Whitehead, 2003, p54.

A cast copper alloy unidentified object. The object comprises a rounded cup with a rectangular sectioned shaft extending from the underside of the cup. The underside of the cup is decorated with raised lines, in a zigzag pattern; there is a break in the pattern. The shaft has a rounded terminal, which appears to have been broken and worn. The metal is a mid greenish-brown colour and is heavily pitted.

An early-medieval copper alloy buckle that is part of a set with a strap end. These fittings date to the 9th -10th century. The buckle frame is oval with a pair of perforated lugs projecting from the rear edge. The perforations are orientated at 90 degrees to the buckle frame. The frame between the lugs narrows slightly to secure the pin, which is no longer present. A fragment of a cast copper alloy strap end or buckle-type fitting. Only the terminal of the object survives and the breaks are irregular. This has therefore resulted in the loss of most of the object. The terminal is raised and finishes with a zoomorphic head. The head features the ears, eyes, nose and mouth of a creature. Extending out from the back of the animals head are the remains of the rest of the object. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The metal is a mid reddish-brown colour; it is pitted and slightly corroded. This object probably dates from the late 8th - 11th century.

This example fits into Thomas' classification as a class B Type 5.Only the lower half of the strap end survives and the break is an irregular tear across the centre of the object. This has therefore resulted in the loss of the attachment end and the rivets. The lower end is wider in the centre and tapers to the terminal. An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The buckle is a single loop oval with an ornate outer edge comprising two very prominent lobed knops dividing three transverse ridges. The pin is missing. The strap bar is narrowed and offset and has two knops at either end. The metal is a mid greenish-brown colour and survives in good condition. Buckles of this type date to circa 1250-1400. A similar example can be seen in Whitehead, p.22.

An incomplete cast copper alloy pendant suspension mount. The mount is formed from a rectangular plate, with a D-shaped section. It has a long projection at one terminal, which is broken. The other terminal is pointed. At either terminal there is a drilled hole, with a slightly raised collar about it. Possible traces of gilding survive around these features. The reverse is flat and undecorated. This object is medieval in date and would have held a harness pendant. It is a dark reddish-brown colour and heavily pitted.

A copper alloy artefact with an iron rivet. Possibly a mount of Roman date or alternatively it has been suggested that the artefact is a Medieval (possibly 11th-12th century) buckle with intergral plate. The rivet has a diameter of 2.61mm and has left patches of corrosion over both the upper and lower surfaces. It is in the centre of the artefact 9.33mm from the end. An incomplete cast copper alloy headstud brooch of Roman date. Only the headstud itself and the pin are missing from this brooch. The head has short wings decorated with blue enamel. The decoration is formed from three blue pellets in a column. On the reverse of the head the tubular hinge mechanism, axis bar and pin terminal survive intact. A Middle Bronze Age cast copper alloy flanged palstave axehead of Acton-Taunton type, dating from circa 1500-1300 BC. The side flanges are lozenge shaped, and rise to 23.3 mm at their highest. A ridged stop separates the blade from the septum at 53 mm from the end of the butt. The stop is 4.1 mm thick. The butt is slightly damaged, with a crescent shaped gap.
