Sherds of medieval and post-medieval pottery. There is a high proportion of S2 (coarse shelly) to Q2 ( grey/brown sandy) which suggestes 12th rather than early 13th century. The 1Q (ironstone sandy) Q1 (sand and some flint/shell) GQ2 (gritty sandy) sherds suggest late 11/early 12th century component. The proto whiteware sherd might indicate early 13th. The high proportion of rim/base angle sherds suggests collection bias.

The reverse has no white-metal coating, and is stamped with the maker's name in a circle around the broken loop - JENNENS & CO LONDON.
