A cast lead Post-Medieval token. A lion rampant is depicted on one face. The other face is worn but there is possibly some lettering. The token is rather crudely made and dates to the 17th or 18th century. Weight 13.73g, diameter 30.15mm, thickness 2.24mm. See Bailey - Finds Identified- page 10.

Incomplete cast heraldic shield-shaped horse harness pendant with the image of a lion rampant facing left just visible. This uppper face of the pendant is corroded so that it is hard to tell if the background surface beind the lion would have been enamelled to show off the lion which may also have been gilt. Part of the shiled and part of the suspension loop are now missing. Read (2001) illustrates a similar example on page 53, Fig.32, No.411, which is dated to the 14th century.

Medieval or Post Medieval two part lead cloth seal for linen from Courtrai (Kortrijk) in Belgium. The seal is formed of a rectangular strip with a flat ring at one end and a disk with central spike at the other. The strip has been bent in half, the spike pushed through the ring and then stamped and flattened. On one side is shield with chevron and engrailed border, the arms of the city, the shield is ringed by an illegible legend between line borders. 16th to 17th century copper-alloy single piece hooked fastener (hooked tag). It has a circular area of decoration, between the hook and the attachment loop, with perforated holes surrounding a cross with an external beaded border. The attachment loop is trapezoidal with a single bead in the centre of each of the shorter sides of the loop. Above these single beads, in the two corners of the longest side of the loop, only just visible, are vertical linear grooves that fan out and resemble a tassle. Fragment of a cast copper alloy Roman brooch or fibula in the form of the end of the bow and the remains of the catchplate. The bow retains the remains of two rows of circular recesses along its vertical borders which would have presumably been originally enamelled. The curvature of the bow and its terminal suggest that it probably came from a T-shaped brooch. Hattatt (2000) illustrates a similar example on page 304, Fig.163, No.411 which is dated from the 1st to the 2nd century AD.

Incomplete cast copper alloy Roman hinged dolphin-type brooch with a small fragment of the copper alloy hinge within the tubular wings. Only one wing survives, and there are the remains of semi-circular recesses along the length of the wing which would have presumably been enamelled. The head of the brooch has a central raised moulded ridge which extends vertically down the bow and seems (as it is too corroded to be sure) to end in two rows of oblique lines, at right angles to each other, forming two borders along the edge of the tapering bow to its foot. Copper alloy fragment of a late Medieval dress hook. It is a composite type with a central circular plate and the double ended hook attached on the reverse by a central rivet. The hook piece is a long pointed oval with both ends missing so they only just protrude past the edges of the circular plate and the hooked parts have broken off. The front of the circular plate is decorated with three incised concentric circles. Similar examples can be seen in Reads book on page 134-5 (2008).

Medieval cast copper alloy buckle frame with ornate outer edge. The strap bar is narrowed and offset. The outer edge is decorated by 4 knops projecting outwards seperated by grooves and by collars between the inner two and outer two knops; the outer knops project out at an angle. The rest of the frame is D shaped in section with a flat inner side. It is 15.7mm long, 17.6mm wide, 3.0mm thick and weighs 1.94 grams. Egan and Pritchard (1991) illustrate similar buckles e.g. No 302, which lacks the extra collars, (pp73-4), which they date to 1200-1400 AD (p.77).

Late Medieval lead pilgrims ampulla. It is mostly complete but one of the side lugs is missing and the mouth is cracked. The chamber is roughly circular in plan narrowing to the neck which is rectangular. The one remaining side lug is triangular. There is a design in relief on one face of the chamber. It is worn but appears to consist of a 6 pointed double line star in the centre with short radiating lines around it reaching to the edges.
