Cast copper alloy pot leg from a large cauldron or skillet, dating from the late Medieval to Post Medieval period (circa 1250 - 1600 AD). It is 72.5mm long and 25.3mm wide and 18.7mm thick at the widest point (the top); it weighs 139 grams. The leg tapers to the base but has no distinct foot. The front of the leg is formed from three lobes, with a prominent central ridge; the reverse of the leg is flat. A cast copper alloy pot leg and foot from a cooking vessel, dating from the late Medieval to Post Medieval period (circa 1250 - 1650). The leg is sub rectangular in section, 29.3mm wide by 13.3mm thick. At the end the front curves outwards to create a foot which is D shaped in plan with a flat back and rounded toe; 27.8mm wide by 23.4mm long. When the foot sits flat the leg is at c.75 degrees to the flat surface. The top is rough from an old break. It is highly corroded with areas of green corrosion on a red-brown base. It weighs 77 grams and 30.9mm long measured as though the foot was flat.

Cast copper alloy thimble with sloping sides and a steeply domed top. There is a bare tonsure at the centre of the top with a spiral of 6 loops of small hand drilled pits surrounding it. The sides are covered by uneven diagonal lines of small pits running down to the unthickened rim which is decorated with two horizontal incised grooves. The rim is chipped making it unclear it there were originaly notches. It is similar to Holmes (1988) p. 1 Fig 1c which is dated 1400-1550 AD. This is an example of a hammered silver penny of Edward I (1272-1307), in this case, from the new coinage, beginning in 1279. The obverse has the portrait facing with a pellet on the chest; the reverse has the long cross pattée with three pellets in each quadrant. This coin is from the London mint and is in poor condition with cracks and chips to the rim.

This is a hammered silver, short cross cut half penny, of Henry III (1216-1272). The coin is centrally struck with minimal clipping to this remaining half. The obverse has the facing bust with 2 curls to hair and probable nostril pellets. The reverse shows the voided short cross and the mint, CANTOR or Canterbury, with the probable moneyer, HIVN. The short cross coinage was produced up until 1247. The coin is much worn with a dull grey patina.

This is a hammered silver half groat of Charles I (1625-1649). The design is typical of type 3a1 with no inner circles and in this instance, a crown mintmark indicative of the Tower mint circa 1635-6. The obverse shows the bust facing left with the Roman numerals II in the field behind the bust. The reverse has the rounder shield. The coin is in a worn condition with the bust being wholly worn away, leaving only the legend and denomination intact. The reverse has faired better with most of the detail and legend intact. This is a copper alloy Roman Colchester derivative Polden Hill (Mackreth Group 4, flat wing ends), Mackreth 2011, 4.e. Plate 47. The style is typical of the Polden Hill type with the short, end-capped hollow crossbar and top lug. Although heavily corroded in parts, there is much detail remaining. The bow is decorated with three converging incised lines running down its length. The foot is terminated with a moulded circular rib and knop.
